Now featuring HTTPS!

As of today, both this site (Y42K.com) and ReallyFixIt.com use Secure HTTP (HTTPS) for everything. This should essentially be invisible to you. Any incoming HTTP links are magically redirected to the more secure version.

Now, not only are my web sites more secure, but they should also do do better in Google search ranking, since Google gives preference to sites encrypted with HTTPS.

In an effort to make the internet more secure, browser vendors are attempting to drive websites to use HTTPS so more web traffic is encrypted and thus less vulnerable to attack. They’re doing this not only by giving HTTPS sites better ratings in search results, but by making the warnings that a site isn’t encrypted more visible and scarier, even when the web page  isn’t being used for anything sensitive, like passwords or online shopping.

If you need help moving a web site to HTTPS, let me know!
