R is for Running: Questions

Is the ebook copy protected?

No. There's no point. All Digital Rights Managment schemes do is make it harder for honest readers to buy a book and enjoy it. DRM doesn't stop piracy.

If the book is read by thousands of people who got their copy from a friend, that's a win. Some of those people will pay for the ebook after they read it, or maybe they'll buy a paper copy, a copy for their local library, or one of my other books.

Why is the ebook $2.99?

How can I help my local library?

For centuries, before computers made it possible to publish for little or no cost, public libraries provided information to everyone for free. Library budgets are tight, so you can help support free information by ordering a copy of my book and sending it to the library of your choice. If you do, send a note to writeray@y42k.com so I can thank you for your generosity.

Can I get a signed book?

Surprisingly, this actually is a Frequestly Asked Question.

When you order a paperback book online, it's sent directly from the printer to you, so I can't personalize it. If you can get it to me somehow, I'll be more than happy to sign it.

If I'm going to be at an event, I'll post advance notice on my blog, Facebook, and whatever other places are appropriate. If you can get to one of those events, I'll be happy to sign a book for you.

Alternatively, I can email you a personalized and signed book cover as a PDF file using Kindlegraph. Visit my Kindlegraph Author's page to make your request.

If those options don't work for you, send me a message and we'll work something out.

Can I read samples from the book before I buy?

You can see samples from the book here and at Amazon.

Can I get the book at my local bookstore?

If you want instant gratification, you can find my book in these stores:

Let me know if a store is out of stock or if you know of a store that would like to carry the book.

Your bookstore should be able to find my books by searching for the title and my name, or they can search by the ISBN number, which is #1466357630.

I have another question...

Send it to me.
